You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
As an Assistant Director in our M&A team, you’ll manage transactions day to day and build lasting relationships across your sector and region. You’ll lead sell-side, buy-side and strategic advisory projects from start to finish, working with your team and drawing on the guidance and expertise of our Directors and Partners. You’ll also oversee key technical workstreams and outputs, including completion mechanisms, funds flows, proceeds waterfalls and legal documentation.
- You will have a strong understanding of, and experience in, the field of corporate finance for both buy-side and sell-side work, involving private and public companies, owner-managed businesses and private equity houses.
- Proven ability to manage all technical aspects of a deal. You will also be developed in your sector/regional knowledge.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or relevant work experience.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work across several projects and occasionally handle pressurised situations
- For those involved in plc activities, a developing knowledge of relevant regulatory regimes.
