We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support management decision-making. The successful candidate should be highly analytical and detail-oriented, hands-on and comfortable working in a lean and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing accounting records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and comply with Singapore accounting standards (SFRS/FRS) and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, management accounts, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage internal/external financial audits and liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulators.
  • Oversee GST, corporate tax, and regulatory filings.
  • Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management strategies to optimize efficiencies and growth.
  • Review, develop and implement internal controls, policies, and financial governance.
  • Drive work process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
  • Manage, coach, and review the work efficiency of the finance team.
  • Partner internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and advisory support.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a leadership role within a professional services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing audits, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
