Our Forensic Technology team specialise in providing technology skills to collect, process and analyse all manner of e-data storage devices. Our specialist professionals work with clients to identify and secure electronic evidence using forensically-sound methods and following best practices. We regularly work with clients on financial investigations, general commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes and corruption investigations.

You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

As a Director, you will lead the team in managing complex eDiscovery and Forensic Services projects. You will provide strategic recommendations to clients throughout the EDRM process, effectively manage risk, and develop detailed procedures. Your role will guide the team to deliver high-quality advice, training, and technical assistance to both internal and external client groups. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to develop the business by engaging in networking with potential clients, participating in proposals and pitches.

This position is based in London; however, candidates should be prepared to travel as some engagements can require working at client sites within the UK and internationally.

You will be someone with:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • Extensive experience with Relativity, including certification as a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)
  • Management experience who has led teams and managed complex client-facing engagements of various sizes, including research, analysis and the interpretation of complex information into non-technical language
  • Business development experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a creative and effective approach to producing timely solutions to problems
  • Technical experience in Windows servers and exchange, SQL and MySQL databases
  • Knowledge of digital forensic applications such as FTK, EnCase or other eDiscovery applications, such as Clearwell, Recommind, Nuix, Concordance is an advantage
  • A focus on emerging eDiscovery or Forensic Technology technologies and methodologies
