Role purpose
- Level consulting, financial analysis and modelling skills, in areas of financial restructuring and forensic investigations.
- Identify issues affecting business operations and profitability and work as a team to resolve issues.
- Maximize business values and realization of assets for the benefit of stakeholders.
- Analyze records and transactions to gather evidence for litigation support purposes.
Principle accountabilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of engagements.
- Assets and inventory checks.
- Review and analyze books and records.
- Adjudication of claims by creditors.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Be prepared to work in a team environment and manage discrete aspects of work streams.
- Require creativity, resourcefulness, and independent judgement.
- Be meticulous and analytical.
- Develop solutions to problems and provide value to clients.
- Draft sections of reports.
- Monitor statutory requirements and deadlines.
- Advise clients in restructuring, insolvency and litigation support engagements.
- Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients.
- Be part of a team that investigates affairs of complaints, analyzing causes of underperformance and business performance of corporate clients for the purposes of debt restructuring and restoring value for stakeholders.
- Gather expert evidence and advice in legal proceedings and forensic assignments, including fact finding financial and non‐financial reviews.
- Advise on strategic business decisions such as optimizing the balance between risk, available capital, and stakeholder value in a business group.
- Conduct fraud and other forensic investigations.
- Incorporate the use of forensic technology as well as provide litigation support to lawyers in commercial disputes.
- Other areas of work include winding down the affairs of companies.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification recognized by ISCA.
- At least 4 years of work experience in a similar field or in audit or other advisory experience.
- Positive attitude, meticulous and analytical.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
