The UK Country Manager is accountable for driving the growth, adoption, and strategic positioning of bdna’s Public Safety Platform in the UK and adjacent markets. This person must combine a deep understanding of law enforcement/regulatory frameworks, business development and commercial leadership in the software/platform/SaaS space. The role is both outward facing (clients, agencies, partners) and inward facing (working with product, engineering, implementation and global GTM teams) to ensure the platform meets stringent forensic, legal, and operational requirements in each jurisdiction.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver the UK go-to-market strategy for bdna’s Public Safety Platform
  • Identify and prioritise client segments, tailor solutions and commercial models
  • Channel regional needs and regulatory requirements into product planning
  • Lead business development, revenue growth and market expansion through effective collaboration with the Commercial team on sales strategies; customer acquisition and onboarding and partnership development.
  • Lead sales from prospecting to closing across licensing, subscriptions, and services
  • Manage public sector procurement, RFPs, and compliance
  • Align with global sales and marketing teams for joint initiatives
  • Develop, monitor, and deliver annual budgets and forecasts for the UK region, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and reporting on financial performance against targets.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and business development, while managing costs to optimise profitability and support long-term sustainability
  • Build and manage local partner networks: system integrators, labs, vendors, consultancies
  • Maintain relationships with partners, industry bodies and regulators
  • Oversee deployments, integrations, onboarding, and support for the region
  • Drive adoption, usage, retention, and satisfaction
  • Feed customer insights into product development
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met, including local deployments and support
  • Ensure compliance with legal, data protection and regulatory mandates
  • Monitor and manage risk, quality, audits, and performance

What you’ve got

  • Platform exposure: 10+ years’ experience working with software/platform/SaaS businesses, ideally in secure, forensics, or policing ecosystems
  • Industry expertise: Experience in law enforcement, forensic science, investigative work or regulatory investigations (or equivalent)
  • Commercial experience: Proven record of business development, managing complex sales (especially in public/regulated sectors), tenders, contracting, and P&L responsibility
  • Stakeholder engagement: Comfortable engaging with senior law enforcement, government, regulators, scientific leads, external agencies
  • Legal/regulatory understanding: Familiarity with evidentiary standards, chain-of-custody, accreditation, data privacy, compliance frameworks.
  • Leadership & scaling experience: Experience managing teams, building capability, scaling operations, navigating change.
  • Cross-jurisdictional adaptability: Ability to operate in multiple jurisdictions, understand local constraints, coordinate with global teams.

Preferred / Advantageous

  • Experience managing channel/partner ecosystems or system integrators
  • Experience participating in forensic standards bodies or professional associations

Qualifications / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – or relevant equivalent experience – in a field such as Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Public Administration, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of UK data privacy laws and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
  • Advanced qualifications in law enforcement, regulatory compliance, or forensic science
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP), data privacy (e.g., CIPP/E), or business leadership
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, Forensic Science Society, British Computer Society)
