Careys is recruiting experienced Traffic Marshals / Vehicle Banksmen to join our team on a major civil engineering project in Sheffield (S9). The role is a contract/temporary position, based onsite in Sheffield, Yorkshire, within the Construction (Trades & Labour) department.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely direct and control the movement of vehicles, plant and delivery across the site.
  • Guide HGVs and construction plant using recognised vehicle banksman signals and procedures.
  • Maintain pedestrian segregation and ensure safe access routes are always in place.
  • Monitor site access and egress points, ensuring all vehicle movements comply with site traffic management plans.
  • Work closely with logistics teams, site management and operatives to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman Qualification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Previous construction or civil engineering experience.
  • Strong awareness of site safety requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with logistics compounds.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Safety Critical Medical knowledge.
