Careys is recruiting experienced Formwork Carpenters / Shuttering Joiners for a major civil engineering project in Sheffield (S9).

Key Responsibilities
- Construct, install and dismantle formwork systems for reinforced concrete structures in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure formwork is built accurately and to the required tolerances.
- Work alongside steel fixers and concrete gangs to prepare structures for concrete pours.
- Inspect and maintain formwork systems to ensure they remain safe, secure and fit for purpose.
- Support the delivery of major civil engineering works by producing high‑quality formwork while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CSCS Blue or Gold Skilled Worker Card
- Proven experience in formwork carpentry on civil engineering projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with traditional and proprietary formwork systems
- Strong understanding of site safety requirements
