Careys are recruiting experienced Crane Drivers to join our team on a major civil engineering project in Sheffield (S9). You will support lifting operations associated with reinforced concrete structures, heavy civils and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with lift plans, site procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out pre-use inspections and daily checks to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
  • Work closely with Slinger Signallers and lifting teams to complete lifting operations safely and accurately.
  • Maintain exclusion zones and ensure all lifting activities comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Support the delivery of major civil engineering works by carrying out lifting operations to programme and specification.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • CPCS Crane Operator Card or NPORS Equivalent
  • Proven experience operating cranes on construction projects
  • Experience working to lift plans and site procedures
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively with lifting teams
