Weβre looking for a Concrete Operative to assist in all aspects of concrete works including preparation, pouring and basic finishing, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

What you will be doing:
- Preparation: Assist with site preparation, including cleaning work areas and setting up formwork. Help arrange reinforcement and ensure materials are ready for pouring. Check tools and equipment are in safe working order before use.
- Pouring & Basic Finishing: Support mixing, pouring and spreading concrete under supervision. Operate basic hand tools (e.g. shovels, trowels, screeds) safely. Apply curing methods such as water or compounds as directed.
- Quality Control: Ensure concrete surfaces meet basic finish standards and project specifications. Report any defects or irregularities immediately to the Supervisors.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all health & safety protocols, including correct PPE usage. Report hazards, defects and near misses promptly. Maintain a clean and organised work area to prevent accidents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other operatives and trades to ensure smooth workflow. Take direction from supervisors and contribute to team productivity.
What you will bring:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Experience in concrete works or general construction.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Concrete Occupations.
- Experience with basic finishing techniques.
- First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with site tools and equipment.
