We’re looking for a Gas Services Engineer to join our team at bdht, and play a vital role in keeping our residents safe, warm and supported in their homes.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality gas servicing, repair and maintenance service across our housing stock and managed contracts. You will carry out gas appliance servicing, landlord gas safety checks and certification, as well as diagnose and repair faults with a strong focus on achieving first-time fixes. Alongside your technical expertise, you will take pride in communicating clearly with residents, helping them understand how to use their appliances safely and the value of regular servicing. Working across Bromsgrove and surrounding areas, you will manage your own workload, ensuring appointments are met and any changes are communicated promptly. Safety is at the heart of everything you do, and you will work in full compliance with Gas Safety regulations and bdht policies, while maintaining accurate records via mobile systems.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Gas Engineer with NVQ Level 2 and 3 (or equivalent) and current ACS certifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1 and HTR1. You will bring experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of health and safety, and the confidence to work independently in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height. Passionate about customer service, you will be approachable, reliable and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and a flexible, can-do attitude. Possession of a current valid driving licence is a requirement for the post. This post requires that the job holder is subject to a DBS check at a Basic level.
