Overview

In this role you drive the ongoing health of the loan portfolio by processing service requests and annual reviews. You analyze complex requests, propose efficient solutions, and support the Business Development team while ensuring policy compliance. You validate profitability, monitor borrowing activity, and identify opportunities to deepen client relationships. You collaborate across Credit, business centres, and internal teams to mitigate risk and restructure when needed. Responsibilities

  • Process service requests and annual loan reviews throughout the loan life cycle
  • Analyze and recommend complex service requests, aligning with bank policies
  • Follow up on outstanding items, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals
  • Validate portfolio profitability during annual reviews and identify opportunities to finance or advise clients
  • Review financial statements, perform financial analyses, and assess risk ratings
  • Identify and address potential risks (arrears, risk deterioration, declining results) and propose proactive solutions
  • Authorize, decline, or recommend services within established parameters with due diligence
  • Maintain and foster relationships with business centre staff to ensure consistent policy application
  • Coach and mentor team members; stay informed on economic trends and policy changes

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration
  • Three to five years’ experience as an account manager in the banking sector
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to analyze complex financial structures
  • Proactive problem-solving and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
  • Good time management and prioritization to meet deadlines
