JOB SUMMARY
The DVP, Product Supply is responsible for leadership of BDA’s global product supply including domestic and import as well as the vendor management teams, proactively vetting new manufacturers and vendors to meet our business needs while managing our current supplier matrix. Your leadership is critical to the success of the organization, which has a direct impact on our ability to deliver value to our clients. You will work in collaboration with Merchandising, Design, Development, Sales, and Compliance to develop a global category strategy that delivers superior quality, cost, and delivery performance. This position will support and lead process improvements and change management within the product supply function. You lead negotiations with vendor agreements, costing, and large order opportunities. It is critical in this role that you utilize your negotiating skills and costing expertise to ensure the best cost-value relationship. You will ensure all products meet quality, safety, and delivery requirements. The DVP, Product Supply will drive continuous improvement seen through business results with strong leadership of product supply and procurement in collaborations with BDA suppliers.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years leading a sourcing, product supply, or procurement team with proven people and project management skills.
- 12+ years of sourcing and product development experience in apparel, accessories, or hardlines.
- Experience in the promotional product industry is preferred but not a requirement.
- Exceptional management and people leadership skills, with a proven record of effectively leading in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Exemplary negotiation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with manufacturers, managing critical issues regarding deliverables.
- Innovative and creative mindset, passionate about building and creating.
- Effective project management skills and experience, including the ability to articulate goals and objectives, manage projects independently and the ability to network and utilize internal and external resources.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and develop Sourcing associates. Ensure that BDA has an adequately staffed, skilled, and scalable sourcing organization.
- Work in a cross-functional team including Sales, Design and Merchandising to turn ideas into merchandise for our clients and online channels, ensuring product and price exceeds their expectations.
- Coordinate with Logistics, Compliance, and our Fulfillment Center to ensure we deliver safe, quality products on time.
- Leadership of the sourcing and development process from end-to-end, setting up new suppliers, negotiating costs, production management, and coordinating with our internal teams for delivery.
- Design and execute a sourcing strategy that supports our client requirements and the product and service needs of all clients. The sourcing strategy includes but is not limited to social and regulatory compliance, brand relevant quality, reliability of deliveries, product innovation, service innovation, and competitive product cost.
- Deploying dual/multi sources of supply to ensure continuity of supply of key products.
- Drive development and execution of supplier commodity strategies, including negotiations for long-term agreements.
- Drive margin results for your category, communicating costs with Sales or Merchandising partners.
- Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure product and service standards are met or exceeded, managing supplier performance through a formalized relationship management program.
- Proactively work with sales partners and merchants to build a line of BDA products to sell to multiple clients, creating scalability.
- Establish sourcing strategies to balance long lead times with the need for speed-to-market.
- Understand company objectives and develop a roadmap to achieve them.
- Research and develop new partnerships with suppliers to support our strategic objectives, supporting globally balanced vendor matrix that meets our financial plans.
- Develop and cultivate strong partnerships, resolve issues, conduct final negotiations, and work on Scorecard corrective action plans with manufacturers.
- Identify areas for process efficiency and cost improvement.
- Motivate and encourage engagement through dedication to diversity.
- Lead through change, build excitement and help team navigate through ambiguity while maintaining efficiency. Build a commitment to change and improve processes.
