At BD, the UK & Ireland Tender & Bid team manages the full tender and bid process across all business units, ensuring high-quality submissions that support the delivery of profitable sales and outcomes-based solutions for our customers and patients. We are now looking for a Team Leader to coordinate complex tender submissions while also leading and supporting a small team of three associates. This role is ideally suited for someone that is currently in a Senior Specialist or similar looking to take the next step into people leadership, while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the Tender & Bid Team in the delivery of tenders. This role is based in our Winnersh office, offering on-site collaboration four days a week and one remote working day.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Lead, support and develop a team of Tender & Bid Specialists and Administrators (3 associates in total), fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee end-to-end tender and bid processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring legal and procedural compliance.
- Champion ESG, Sustainability and Social Value within the tender process, aligning submissions with evolving market and regulatory expectations.
- Monitor performance metrics and generate regular reporting to support strategic decisions.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement, addressing performance gaps where identified.
- Coordinate tender and bid submissions, aligning internal contributors and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality results.
- Consolidate commercial, financial and technical inputs for specific bids, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Champion Sales reporting for Tender related activities.
- Any other adhoc Tender/Contract activities.
About You:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business, science, or economics-related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tender and bid or related commercial roles.
- In-depth understanding of tender processes within healthcare; familiarity with NHS procurement is advantageous.
- Skilled in drafting and coordinating complex tenders and bids, with a strong focus on process optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and manage a wide range of internal and external contributors.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; SharePoint and Power BI is a plus.
Salary Range Information: £42,000.00 – £64,050.00 GBP Annual.
