As an Applications Specialist at BD Biosciences, you will provide expert training and flow cytometry support to users of BD Biosciences reagents and instrumentation across the UK and Ireland. This fieldābased role requires regular travel, including overnight stays, to visit clinical diagnostic laboratories, healthcare facilities, as well as research and industry laboratories. Reporting to the Applications Specialist Manager, you will also support the sales team with preāsales demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

Main Responsibilities
- Deliver onāsite, ināhouse, and virtual flow cytometry training and application support to laboratory technicians, biomedical scientists, and clinicians.
- Work within fastāpaced clinical settings, assisting diagnostic laboratories in achieving timely and accurate results.
- Support the integration of Laboratory Information Management Systems for BD Biosciences solutions.
- Deliver customerāfocused seminars, presentations, and workshops.
- Conduct preāsales demonstrations of instrumentation, reagents, and solutions.
- Provide internal product training to team members.
- Collaborate with local and regional teams to achieve business objectives.
About You
- A degree in life sciences, ideally with a focus on immunology, haematology, or cell biology; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Extensive laboratory experience with flow cytometry applications.
- Strong knowledge of clinical diagnostic laboratory processes and protocols, with the ability to support NHS, HSE, and private pathology labs.
- Comfortable working within regulated clinical environments.
- Experience in a GLP/GMP environment is welcomed.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical problemāsolving approach.
- Skilled in delivering training and presentations, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Holder of a UK driving licence.
Salary Range for the Role
£44,000 - £56,000 + bonus + benefits
