The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management and people leadership, particularly within the healthcare or laboratory sectors. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, nurturing and developing talent, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth for our specimen management solutions.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

Build and implement a multi-year Regional plan to drive competitor share gain, account expansion, maintenance, and retention. This includes:

  • Conducting market analysis and identifying growth opportunities
  • Developing strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing ones
  • Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress
  • Adjusting tactics as needed to achieve targets

Maintain And Leverage Relationships With Key Partners In NHS/HSE Pathology, Clinical And Procurement Functions To Support Long-term Sustained Sales Growth And Execution Of The Business Strategy. This Involves

  • Regular communication and meetings with key stakeholders
  • Understanding their needs and pain points
  • Positioning BD\’s solutions to address their challenges
  • Collaborating on joint initiatives and projects

Identify BD cross-functional resources required to implement the Regional plan and engage internal teams to support these initiatives. This includes:

  • Coordinating with Marketing, Professional Services, Managed Services, Contract, Pricing, and Tenders teams
  • Ensuring alignment and collaboration across functions
  • Leveraging internal expertise and resources to execute the plan effectively

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the IVD Diagnostics industry, preferably in fields such as Blood Sciences Laboratory, Specimen Management, Phlebotomy, Infection Control, Occupational Health, Procurement, Med/Surg, and Nursing.
  • Proven track record of sales and leadership success, with experience selling on value in a medical sales capacity.
  • Consistent record of people management and development, forming positive relationships within NHS/HSE Pathology & Clinical Services.
  • Willingness to travel, coach, and support team members, enabling them to be in the field 80% of their time.
  • Experience with Pre-Sales, Tendering, Contracting, and Implementing with NHS/HSE Pathology Services for Solutions, Consumables, and Managed Service Contracts.
  • Strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions of contract, as well as the NHS/HSE purchasing process and healthcare system procurement processes.
  • Ability to lead and complete multiple opportunities of varied complexity simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation skills with strong financial competence and negotiation skills.
  • Effective teammate, able to form productive relationships across a range of BD functions to support territory management and sales growth objectives.
  • Proficient use of Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
