As an Account Manager at BD, your day will be filled with meaningful interactions and opportunities to drive positive change. You will collaborate with technical and clinical experts, fostering trusted relationships within the hospital environment through regular site visits and a partnered approach. The role is centered on proactive account management, customer care, and renewals within hospital pharmacy, with a strong focus on Rowa Vmax automation solutions. Based ideally around Lancashire or Preston, you will spend up to four days per week in the territory ensuring customers feel consistently supported in an increasingly competitive market. You will measure the impact of the MMS business, develop insights, and grow the product portfolio within accounts. Additionally, you will identify customer training needs and facilitate problem resolution, ensuring an unparalleled customer experience.

Main Activities:

  • Generating new leads, to grow the account from within and managing existing customer portfolio in defined accounts.
  • Drive existing customers to consider earlier replacement cycle, promoting faster revenue and maintaining current install base.
  • Upsell new products, helping customers to adopt new technologies, to aid in future retention.
  • Identify customer training needs, and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Collaborative with the Business Development Specialist, sharing information, working through territory plans to drive adoption in new and existing accounts.
  • Being the main point of contact for all customer queries and support.
  • Demonstrating CRM excellence by ensuring clear communication internally via use of SFDC so that all account information is updated and current.
  • Contributing to and generating an annual business plan for regular review to show the management of the responsible accounts, including growth options and details of how this could be attained.
  • Maintain an account pipeline and forecast plan.
  • Work cross portfolio with other Account Managers and the MMS Commercial team on projects that promote sales of the entire BD portfolio to the healthcare system.
  • Network with leaders in the UK healthcare system, Pharmacy, Nursing, Transformation Directors and ICT related stakeholders in order to create advocates/KOLS.

About You:

  • Experience in healthcare or hospital environment, ideally with a strong commercial track record.
  • Exposure to capital equipment sales and complex, consultative sales cycles are beneficial.
  • Experience within pharmacy is a plus.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility with hospital-based decision makers.
  • Structured and disciplined approach to territory, pipeline, and opportunity management.

Target salary range for the role: £45,000 to £55,000 with certain flexibility + bonus + benefits.
