About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Breast Health Sales Specialist to join our Diagnostic Oncology division. This field-based role covers the North of England (Leeds, Yorkshire, Manchester and surrounding areas) and involves managing and influencing buying in existing accounts as well as selling into new accounts in a competitive market. The role is an expansion of the existing high-performing team. It blends clinical and sales responsibilities, including observing and advising on the correct use of BD products. You will manage a portfolio that includes both capital and consumable products, with up to 80% travel and occasional overnight stays. The candidate will develop a thorough understanding of Breast Oncology and BD’s products, working closely with Breast Radiologists, Breast Surgeons and Radiographers to create awareness and demonstrate the value of BD Oncology offerings.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop BD’s breast biopsy portfolio, including vacuum-assisted and core-needle biopsy devices, in existing accounts.
- Win new business in symptomatic and screening breast centres.
- Collaborate with and influence breast radiologists and radiographers to use the BD portfolio.
- Accurately forecast sales numbers monthly and build comprehensive business reviews.
- Drive value-based propositions to clinical and purchasing customers.
- Identify and develop key opinion leaders to drive improved patient outcomes with BD as a corporate partner.
- Support patient cases in the breast radiology arena through competent product training.
- Utilise company selling tools and CRM system effectively.
About You
- Medical device sales experience in a theatre, cardiology or radiology environment.
- Experience in navigating a complex selling environment.
- Strong knowledge in the use of Health Economic tools.
- Good understanding of NHS, NICE and Payer policies.
- Strong product demonstration experience in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision-makers and influencers.
- Ability to analyse complex customer data and develop clinically and technically sound sales solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, teaching and presentation skills.
Salary and Benefits
£45,000 – £55,000 per year plus bonus and benefits.
