Field Service Engineer
Join BD as a Field Service Engineer to join our Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) Technical Services team. In this role you will ensure the reliable operation of our advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems through preventive maintenance, installations, and technical support across the UK, Benelux, and Nordic regions. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or junior talent eager to travel, gain experience in a global organization, and represent BD as a brand ambassador in front of clients.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our APM team. You will spend approximately 50% of your working time abroad, manage your own calendar, and plan visits. Your ideal location is in the vicinity of London, offering convenient access to travel options and ideally situated near an airport.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, installations, and system upgrades for patient monitoring equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to ensure minimal downtime.
- Provide on‑site support and guidance to clinical and technical staff in hospitals.
- Document all interventions accurately in line with quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the wider technical team to share insights and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols during all service activities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of APM technology and service procedures.
About You
- Degree in Electronic, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in medical device or technical maintenance roles is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Fluent in English; any other European language is beneficial.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and independent working style.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
Target salary range for the role: £30,000 to £35,000 + benefits + company car.
