The Therapy Development Specialist, PVD/ESKD is responsible for developing the Arterial, Venous and End-stage Kidney Disease business in the North East and Scotland and enabling the Sales Specialist colleagues to exceed their sales goals.

Reporting directly to the North Sales Manager and working in close partnership with the Regional Sales Specialist, the primary responsibility of this role is to drive the successful implementation of the Atherothrombectomy device (Rotarex). Additional products within the portfolio include the Thrombectomy device (Aspirex), RF Ablation device (Venclose), and Endo AVF device (WavelinQ).

Responsibilities:

  • Being an expert and developing a deep understanding of the PVD and ESKD therapy areas, including disease states and treatment options.
  • Being an expert in identifying suitable patients and the utilisation of the above products in a clinical setting and in line with the product IFU.
  • Working in close partnership with the sales specialist.
  • Providing day to day clinical case support when HCPs are using the above products, with a particular focus on more complex case support.
  • Provide training and education to HCPs (including but not limited to Vascular surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Nephrologists and nurses) on the product indications, correct techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes, patient selection/follow up.
  • Having in depth discussions with HCPs around patient selection, considerations as well as patient follow up to ensure good outcomes and the need for intervention.
  • Collaborating with the EMEA Market Development Team to disseminate information and organise additional support/customer visits as required, particularly for WavelinQ.
  • Becoming a clinical expert and sharing knowledge, best practice, and guidance with the sales teams, including the onboarding/training of new hires.
  • Building strong clinical relationships with HCPs.
  • Provide post implementation training to drive greater acceptance and utilisation with all partners and its full acceptance as a standard of care.
  • Provide input to the Sales Specialist for the creation of comprehensive business plans.
  • In partnership with the Sales Specialist, support and facilitate any professional education activities and KOL development.
  • Creating and supporting a Clinical Support Forum to share clinical updates and provide the opportunity to upskill the sales force.

About You:

  • Experience in the Medical device area, ideally Peripheral Vascular and/or End Stage Kidney Disease.
  • Ability to understand complex scientific concepts and procedures.
  • Ability to simplify and verbally explain complex clinical topics.
  • High degree of dependability: ability to take ownership of tasks and get things done.
  • Experience with clinical support in Cath Lab/OR.
  • Willingness to support others (Internal stakeholders, customers).
  • Ability to translate clinical information into marketing & commercial strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with teams.
  • Ability to influence without authority, using relationships and networks within the BD matrix to influence strategies within the region.
  • Strong communication skills – able to clearly and concisely communicate complex instructions in a clinical setting.

Salary and Location:

  • Salary range for the role: £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus + benefits.
  • Primary Work Location: GBR Winnersh - Eskdale Road.
  • Salary Range Information: £42,000.00 - £64,050.00 GBP Annual.
