We are seeking an experienced and driven Business development executive to join our BIP surgery team business unit at BD. In this central coordination role, you will be responsible for new business development, strategic product commercialisation, and establishing centers of excellence and key opinion leader relationships. You will develop and execute commercial plans to enable successful business rollouts and drive market expansion for our innovative products.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business development executive to join our BIP surgery team business unit at BD. In this central coordination role, you will be responsible for new business development, strategic product commercialisation, and establishing centers of excellence and key opinion leader relationships. You will develop and execute commercial plans to enable successful business rollouts and drive market expansion for our innovative products.

As the Business Development Executive, you will serve as the primary driver and deliver the annual operating plan for the new product group, reporting directly to the BIP National Sales Manager with defined targets for the country. You will establish and coordinate go-to-market strategies for target accounts, essential key opinion leader development, and impactful influence on market adoption and first-to-market plans for the UKI. Additionally, you will coordinate with EMEA, educational needs, societies, NICE, and commercial plans to establish key opinion leaders and expert panels, driving adoption with market access and health economic reforms.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Collaborate with societies such as NICE and KOLs to develop key initiatives, payment structures, and educational programs for Surgiphor adoption
  • Work closely with the BIP UK team and Marketing to administer peer-to-peer programs, centers of excellence, clinical symposia, Societies such as NICE and advisory boards
  • Refine and launch patient and healthcare provider education strategies and collateral to ensure safe and efficacious adoption of Surgiphor.
  • Drive market development activities to increase awareness and adoption of Surgiphor among surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare systems
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective business strategies for Surgiphor wound irrigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and clinical teams, to align on market development initiatives
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and training materials to educate healthcare professionals on the benefits and proper use of Surgiphor wound irrigation.

About You

  • Proven experience in the General Surgery industry or a clinical/market development experience is crucial to the role
  • A degree in a Life Science (or equivalent) or a strong experience in the medical device industry
  • Candidate must be a strong team player with high medical ethics, be available for travel, and show a real talent for medical device sales in the appropriate environment. Motivation, perseverance, and creativity are a definitive plus.
  • Experienced and successful KOL interaction and leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business & surgical market is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint supporting insightful business analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze market and sales trends as they relate to the product portfolio.
  • An advantage to already have in place good surgical clinical knowledge and relationships with surgeon thought leaders.
  • This job requires at least 80% of mobility across the country.
