Responsibilities- Strategic & P&L Leadership
- Setting and delivering a 5-year commercial and business development strategy aligned to Group objectives.
- Stabilising financial performance while driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost efficiency.
- Leading portfolio and customer profitability analysis to optimise service mix and pricing.
- Establishing clear KPIs and performance rhythms across win rates, renewals, gross margin, WIP, variation capture, and commercial risk.
- Commercial Transformation
- Designing and leading the organisation's commercial transformation strategy.
- Embedding new commercial models, processes, and capabilities across the business.
- Driving cross-functional change and ensuring disciplined execution of commercial priorities.
- Influencing senior stakeholders and partners to secure buy-in and long-term momentum.
- Pricing & Revenue Management
- Setting the long-range commercial vision for service lines and revenue models.
- Championing a data-driven commercial culture using forecasting, insight, and scenario modelling.
- Owning pricing strategy, rate cards, cost models, and margin guardrails.
- Strengthening controls around variations, out-of-scope works, supplier management, and change orders.
- Contracting, Partnerships & Commercial Governance
- Leading high-value negotiations for new business, renewals, and extensions.

- Maintaining a forward-looking pipeline with clear forecasting of value, probability, and timing.

- Embedding social value commitments across commercial strategies and contracts.
- Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Overseeing the organisation's commercial risk landscape and maintaining a dynamic risk register.
- Ensuring compliance with public-sector procurement rules, statutory requirements, and internal governance.
- Strengthening cash discipline through rigorous controls on PO compliance, billing, accruals, and debt recovery.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional qualifications (CIPS, IACCM/WorldCC, MBA, programme management) desirable.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in commercial leadership or transformation.
- Right to work in the UK and satisfactory background checks.
- Executive Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Experience partnering with Executive, Finance, Operations, and Transformation leaders.
- Strong Board-level stakeholder engagement and external representation experience.
- Ability to deputise for the Chief Executive when required.
