BD Talent is partnering with a newly launched AI & automation consultancy that helps operationally intensive organisations reduce cost, increase speed and remove friction through pragmatic automation and applied AI. This is a first technical hire opportunity, offering genuine influence over engineering direction, delivery approach and technology choices from day one.

Founded by a highly experienced technology and operations leader with 25+ years experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical programmes, the business combines deep technical credibility with commercial discipline. Lead engineers will work directly with a founder who understands engineering, values quality, and has a strong track record of turning ideas into sustained operational outcomes.

The Opportunity
Youll join at the very start and work closely with the founder to:
- Design and deliver automation and AI solutions for clients
- Build reusable components and internal frameworks
- Define engineering standards, tooling and delivery patterns
- Shape how the consultancy scales technically

What Youll Do
- Identify and deliver high-impact automation and AI opportunities
- Build solutions using automation platforms, APIs, data tooling and LLMs
- Translate complex operational problems into pragmatic technical solutions
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to the evolving technical roadmap and delivery model
Experience Were Looking For
Experience across several of the following:
- Workflow automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier, Workato)
- Python, JavaScript or similar
- API integration and system orchestration
- Applied AI / LLM use cases
- Cloud or serverless environments
Just as important is a builder mindset - pragmatic, curious, delivery-focused and comfortable shaping clarity in ambiguity.
