Electrical Qualified Supervisor

You've held QS status for years, and you're still signing off certificates on someone else's contract.

As our Electrical Qualified Supervisor you'd hold the NICEIC accreditation, set the standard, and be the person the engineers ring when something doesn't add up.
The job You're the technical authority. You'll review, validate and sign off the EICs, EICRs and minor works certificates the team produces, audit completed site works against BS 7671 and get deviations corrected, and act as primary point of contact for NICEIC and NAPIT
protecting our approved contractor status through annual assessment.
You'll deliver the emergency lighting programme, directly manage up to 20 operatives and engineers plus the Council's DLO workforce, and support the Service Delivery Manager on contract performance. Expect one-to-ones, toolbox talks, site inspections and coaching the team to raise testing standards and documentation accuracy.
The work is in occupied homes
residents, booked appointments, and the reality of getting into properties. It's a different discipline to commercial buildings and plant rooms, so we're after someone who's spent real time in housing / residential.
What you'll need Electrical NVQ Level 3, or equivalent gold card standard BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, including current amendments Level 3 Award in Electrical Inspection and Testing
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 AM2 assessment completion SMSTS Experience of Local Authority or related work, ideally gained in a DLO or contractor environment Experience at managerial level, managing a multidisciplinary team HNC/ONC in Building is preferred but not essential.
