Overview
Food Service Assistant (School) – Wembley area (multiple sites). Location: Wembley area, covering three sites (including North Wembley and North Brent).
Responsibilities
- Take instruction from the Cook Supervisor & Assistant Cook.
- Support the team with the preparation and service of hot and cold meals and snacks.
- Set out the dining area.
- Clear away and wash up.
- Handle food storage and food preparation using commercial kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Maintain the highest kitchen and food hygiene standards.
- Use knowledge of food hygiene and allergens to ensure cross-contamination is avoided.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- Ability to grasp and apply Health and Safety procedures; knowledge of food allergens and cross-contamination principles.
- Other food industry qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
- Friendly manner, willingness to learn, work hard, and deliver great service.
- Ability to use initiative to solve routine issues; ability to work well in a team and independently; strong communication.
- Good grasp of English to understand and follow written instructions.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required.
Working Arrangements
- Part-time, Permanent (25 hours per week) Monday to Friday.
- Location: Across three sites within the Wembley area (North Brent / North Wembley).
- £12.21 per hour.
