A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Technician to join a successful and growing independent automotive group. Working directly from a busy retail sales site, you'll be responsible for ensuring stock vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Your role will include carrying out vehicle health checks, servicing, repairs, MOT testing (where qualified), final inspections and, when time allows, preparing used vehicle stock to retail standard.
We're particularly keen to hear from qualified MOT Testers, although experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technicians (or experienced Level 2 Technicians) will also be considered.

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every vehicle meets the company's high preparation and retail standards before being offered for sale or handed over to customers.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out vehicle health checks on used vehicle stock
- Completing pre-sale inspections and quality checks
- Servicing and routine vehicle maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Replacing wear-and-tear items including brakes, batteries, suspension and other service components
- Carrying out MOT tests where qualified
- Preparing used vehicles to retail standard, including PDI and vehicle preparation work when workload allows
- Completing final quality inspections before customer collection
- Working closely with the sales team to ensure vehicles are ready for handover
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification preferred (Level 2 considered with relevant experience)
- Current MOT Tester licence highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Prep Technician
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Positive, proactive attitude with good organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
