Established Main Dealer | Romford

  • Basic salary from £27,000 to £38,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Salary Structure

  • Junior / Inexperienced Technician: Basic Salary: £27,000, OTE: £34,000
  • Experienced Technician: Basic Salary: £33,000 - £35,000, OTE: £43,000 - £45,000
  • Diagnostic / Master Technician: Basic Salary: £35,000 - £38,000, OTE: £45,000 - £48,000

The Role

As part of a highly experienced aftersales team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Completing warranty and routine servicing work.
  • Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where appropriate.
  • Using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
  • Maintaining accurate workshop records and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Supporting apprentices and junior technicians where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll ideally have:

  • Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within either a franchised dealership or independent workshop.
  • MOT Tester qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
