Transport PlannerKent£36,000 – £38,000 per annumNIGHTS – 4 on 4 offA Leading Transport company based in Dover, require a new EU Transport Planner to help them continue to grow a good Salary is on offer for the right minded candidate at a range of £36-38,000 Dependant on Experience.You will be working Monday to Friday. Good progression options and growth for the future is on offer as well.Job Purpose:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Planner to join our team. The Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation activities to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics processes.Responsible for resourcing and effectively forward planning all company resource, utilising Company and/or third-party resources when required. Effectively managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring drivers are given clear and precise instructions in a timely and efficient mannerEnsuring that all service levels are met cost effectively and within the constraints of drivers' hours and Health & Safety regulations, whilst meeting all customer requirementsMain Responsibilities:* Subcontract additional loads that cannot be covered with company resource* Ensure all focus is on day 1 for day 2 planning, working with the transport operator to provide updates on any same day changes* Ensuring all Farm load plans are sent through accurately and in a timely manner* Communicating the full plan to subcontractors and drivers ensuing accurate and full information is included * Update planning sheet for driver's L/C, and start/finish days for all traction subcontractors (to be completed on day 1 of shift)* Add revenue onto planning sheet* To monitor the planning email keeping an eye out for reloads, upload own reloads onto Road runner * Allocate the full plan onto road runner, to be supported by the Transport Administrator between 16:00-18:00 * To forward plan with Fleet ensuring that all Trucks and trailers are planned in for maintenance and service as early as possible, and plan equipment back to depot when required.* To assist Transport Manager in Driver training by planning allowances for Drivers in the office when required.
