Job Description
Our established client is looking for an additional Swimming Pool Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The role involves the maintenance of pools, spas and hot tubs mainly in the Sussex area.Ideally you will have worked in this sector before – but the client is willing to train the right person and put them through qualifications. If you have worked in maintenance and are very customer focussed, then this could be an excellent opportunity to work for a friendly and established companySalary £25000 – £30000 – Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00 in the Summertime and 08.30/09.00 – 15.00/16.00 in the winter time – but you get paid the same each month. Company Van, Pension etcResponsibilities may include some or all of the following activities:On site responsibility for the ecient running of servicing jobs allocated to themCustomer satisfaction ratings relating to opening and closing pools, SPAs and hot tubsEnsuring all health and safety protocols are observed on site, maintaining a high standard of safety for self and othersInitial point of contact for customers during any maintenance or servicing workInitial point of contact for handling customer queries or complaints relating to jobs allocated to themFollowing company processes and using company online IT systems to record activities and update customer recordsAd Hoc Duties requested by the Technical Manager or a Director as and when required.Opening and closing of customer pools, SPAs and Hot TubsUndertake ad-hoc and regular servicing of customer pools and spas to industry standards, to include cleaning of filters, cleaning or replacement of any consumable or disposable parts, visual inspection of all moving partsTest chemical balance of pool water, and add additional chemicals as requiredReporting to the Customer of any general faults, damaged parts, pool liner or tiling faults, or equipment that may require attentionReporting to the Technical Manager any pools that require furthermore technical worksGeneral maintenance and pool surround maintenance including:Rendering and/or brickwork repairsTilingDeep cleaning pool decks & surroundsAccurate, ecient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks relating to numerous concurrent jobs/projectsDemonstrable strong team working skills acquired over a period of yearsAbility to maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers.Strong professional and confident communication skills (both verbal and written)Qualifications:Completion of ISPE qualifications, within 12 months of starting the roleIndividual ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers) MembershipFull clean UK driving licence (annual DVLA check)Clean annual DBS check (disclosure and barring service), due to work being carried out at customer homes, schools & colleges and selected commercial venues, that may be home to vulnerable adults and childrenNo pre-existing medical conditions that would preclude the job holder from undertaking what can be arduous outdoor working and handling dangerous chemicalsAdditional trade qualifications relevant to maintenance, servicing or pool installations
