We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead sourcing and operations for our premium products, acting as the bridge between our European team and Far East factories. This role combines supplier management, project coordination, logistics oversight, and creative input to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and innovative delivery of premium goods.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet compliance and sustainability standards.
- Benchmark suppliers on pricing, reliability, capacity, and sustainability.
- Support the Team Lead in maintaining a robust, competitive supplier base.
- Analyze project briefs for feasibility and sourcing needs.
- Use AI and internal tools to propose first-round concepts.
- Collaborate with Design and Team Lead to bring new ideas and trends into products.
- Monitor premium trends, sustainability, and materials to fuel innovation.
- Production & Project Coordination:
- Prepare supplier-ready briefs and manage communications from quotation to delivery.
- Track production schedules, proactively flagging potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records across platforms like MTVTy, Monday.com, and SharePoint.
- Ensure proper issuance and filing of documentation, labels, and test certificates.
- Keep project teams updated on timelines and progress.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to manage freight.
- Ensure all export/import documentation is correct (Incoterms, customs, invoices).
- Work with internal teams to ensure timely, smooth delivery to the UK.
Qualifications
- Experience managing factories, production timelines, and international logistics (Asia → Europe).
- Familiarity with compliance and QA documentation (testing, safety, sustainability).
- Ability to use AI tools and digital platforms for early-stage ideation is a plus.
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving, proactive mindset, and excellent project management.
