Overview
Our client based near to Forest Row, East Sussex are looking for a permanent, part time bookkeeper. The hours are 18 – 20 hours a week over either 4 or 5 days but there is be some flexibility on this. The client is happy for a start time of 9.00 or 9.30am. You will need your own transport due to the rural location.
The salary is £17.00 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience. Free parking is available.
Responsibilities
- Working with the accounting package Xero.
- Posting sales invoices and allocating payments.
- Producing a debtors report, referring for reasons unpaid and debt chasing.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Managing and paying suppliers as they fall due.
- Weekly takings report.
- Balancing and monitoring Till, petty cash and fuel box.
- Reconciling credit card invoices and recharges.
- Collating information for staff payroll.
- Maintaining spreadsheets and cash flow.
- Producing invoices and recharging across other companies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and have previous experience gained from a financial background.
