As a Carer at Elite at Home, you will deliver compassionate, personalised support that enables our clients to live safely, comfortably and with dignity in their own home. You will be part of a professional team dedicated to understanding each individual's unique needs and preferences, tailoring care to support independence and wellbeing. You will build meaningful relationships, provide emotional support and contribute to a positive, empowering experience for every client and their family.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks including washing, bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
  • Support with mobility, transfers and use of aids where required.
  • Help clients prepare and eat meals, and support with feeding if necessary.
  • Prompt or assist with medication following agreed care plans.
  • Undertake light household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing.
  • Encourage participation in social, physical and leisure activities.
  • Maintain respectful, supportive relationships with clients and families.
  • Follow individualised care plans and record observations accurately.
  • Monitor and report changes in a client's condition or behaviour to senior staff.
  • Attend team meetings and training as required.
  • Maintain dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Comply with health, safety and safeguarding standards.

Person Specification

  • Empathy, patience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication and listening abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Practical problem-solving and flexibility.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous care experience is an advantage.
  • Training in health and social care, safeguarding, first aid or moving & handling is desirable.
  • Valid DBS check.
  • Valid UK Passport.
