Our client, a rapidly growing automotive group with an exceptional reputation for quality and innovation, is seeking an ambitious individual to join their finance team at their modern head office in Elstree. The Role
- Reporting to the Regional Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day accounting operations.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing cash allocations and debtor control
- Investigating and resolving balance sheet queries
- Liaising with management and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Processing and reviewing bank transfers and related documentation
- Assisting with month-end duties and supporting the Regional Accountant
About You
You will be a confident and analytical professional with a passion for finance and a strong eye for detail. You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as an Assistant Accountant (automotive industry experience advantageous)
- Is confident using accounting systems (Kerridge experience a plus)
- Holds or is studying towards an AAT or similar accounting qualification
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Works with accuracy, initiative, and a proactive attitude
