The Delivery Analyst is a hybrid role combining business and systems analysis with Agile delivery coordination. The role sits within the Programme Management Office (PMO), working closely with the Technology delivery team to support the day-to-day demands of the team across projects, change requests, and BAU Freshdesk support.
Key responsibilities:
- Business & Systems Analysis
- Support the requirements gathering and documentation of Technology Projects and change requests, working alongside the Business/System Analyst.
- Deliver, analyse, and clearly articulate business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation review.
- Produce and maintain high-quality analysis artefacts including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process maps.
- Analyse existing systems and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage the organisations AI tools, to support and accelerate analysis work, including requirements drafting, process documentation, and the consolidation of complex information.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, and acceptance activities, including writing and executing test cases.
- Support data mapping, migration preparation, and validation activities.
- Maintain system documentation and ensure artefacts are kept up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and correctly interpreted.
- Create well-defined backlog item/tickets for the development team, ensuring stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated and that all tickets meet the team's Definition of Ready before entering the sprint.
- Agile Delivery & Scrum Facilitation
- Assist with requirements pre-planning calls, helping to prepare, refine, and structure requirements ahead of sprint planning sessions.
- Support sprint planning activities, ensuring tickets are groomed, prioritised, and ready for the team to pick up.
- Facilitate Agile and Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing cover and continuity for the Senior Project Delivery Manager.
- Support the maintenance and prioritisation of product and sprint backlogs in collaboration with delivery leads and stakeholders.
- Track sprint progress, flag blockers, and assist teams in removing impediments to delivery.
- Champion Agile ways of working and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.
- Assist in the coordination of delivery activity across business, technology, and supplier teams to ensure milestones are met.
- Delivery Support & Coordination
- Maintain core project artefacts including RAID logs, action registers, and dependency trackers.
- Produce clear and accurate status updates, meeting notes, and progress reports.
- Apply AI tools to support faster delivery, including drafting reports, summarising meeting outputs, and preparing governance updates.
- Coordinate UAT phases, defect tracking, and resolution activities.
- Support go-live planning and transition-to-BAU activities.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers.
- Translate technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical audiences.
- Support business leads in decision-making by providing clear analysis and structured recommendations.
- Present confidently to senior leadership, including at CEO level, communicating progress, risks, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Work with the PMO to support progress reporting, producing accurate and timely updates for governance and leadership audiences.
- Personal Development
- Actively engage in structured development activities and training aligned to team needs and personal growth.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and team capability building within the PMO.
