Key Responsibilities
- Health, Safety & Environment: Promote Barhale Cardinal Rules and safe working culture. Comply with company procedures and legal obligations. Ensure environmental compliance and deliver work safely.
- Quality: Promote best practice and compliance with procedures. Deliver defect-free work and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Site Engineering: Establish level and survey control for contracts. Set out works per contract drawings, regularly checking accuracy. Maintain accurate records and compliance with organisational and legal requirements. Resolve unexpected technical difficulties. Produce procurement schedules, ITPs, Task Briefings, 2-week look-ahead, Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.

- Accurate and timely setting out.
- Timely handover and defect-free quality records.
- Accurate production of records, drawing registers and weekly diaries.
Key Relationships
Develop good working relationships with site workforce and customer technical representatives.
About You – Essential
- Previous experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, health & safety and legal regulations.
- Fully conversant with robotic total station or EDM instruments.
- Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
About You – Desirable
- Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Temporary-works coordination.
- CSCS card.
- Cable avoidance training.
- First aid training.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
