We possess a range of specialist skills to support our civil engineering and infrastructure activities, including tunnelling, MEICA, temporary and permanent design, steel fabrication, signs (design and fabrication), and health & safety equipment and PPE.

The Role

The Electrical Manager oversees the delivery of electrical activities across various projects from initiation to completion, ensuring works meet client requirements while maintaining compliance with Health and Safety and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Electrical Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring alignment with project requirements and integration into operational workflows.
  • Produce, review and control electrical quality documentation, ensuring consistent application within the existing work structure.
  • Act as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, ensuring all electrical works meet certification requirements, maintaining compliance with NICEIC standards, and overseeing testing, sign-off and record management.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Electrical Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and relevant sector-specific standards.
  • Define and monitor electrical quality objectives, KPIs, audit schedules, control plans, and document management processes.
  • Provide technical leadership for all electrical temporary works, ensuring compliance with standards, permits, and site safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify electrical compliance, safety and performance, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead, supervise and develop the Temporary Works Electrical Team, fostering high standards of safety, competence and delivery.
  • Oversee and approve designs for temporary electrical installations, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and site teams to support safe and efficient electrical delivery across all project phases.
  • Ensure documentation, testing, commissioning and installation activities meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work, ensuring electrical hazards are identified and controlled.
  • Assess subcontractor processes and electrical safety rules.

Essential About you

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Achievement Measurement (AM2) Qualification or equivalent.
  • ECS card.
  • SMSTS.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Inspection testing 2391-52.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, regulations and standards, including temporary works codes and ISO 9001.
  • Ability to produce and interpret technical designs, drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing electrical teams or specialist groups.
  • Proficient in using design and modelling tools such as Trimble, AutoCAD, Oracle, Autodesk and/or Revit.
  • Previous experience in an Electrical Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, or similar leadership role, on major projects within heavy civil engineering and infrastructure.

Desirable

  • ISO 9001 auditor qualifications.
  • NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
