The predicted salary is between 39152 - 48226 £ per year.

Level 1 will be £39,152 (pro rata for part time colleagues). Level 2 will be £44,075 (pro rata for part time colleagues). Level 3 will be £48,226 (pro rata for part time colleagues). This role sits within a well defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career at BCP. Hours: Full time (37 hours), part time considered

Location: Alderney Hospital, Ringwood Road, Poole BH12 4NB

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct holistic assessments of need and risk.
  • Develop and review care and support plans.
  • Coordinate community packages of care in line with statutory duties.
  • Apply the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act in daily practice.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals, carers, and voluntary sector partners.
  • Promote strengths‑based and recovery‑focused approaches.
  • Undertake social work duties within and occasionally outside CMHT as required.
  • Maintain accountability for professional decision‑making and ensure practice standards are met.
The Qualifications We Accept Are As Follows
  • Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)
  • BSc / BA Social Work (BSc/BASW)
  • Masters in Social Work (MSW)
  • Social Work Degree Apprenticeship (SWDA)
  • Equivalent overseas qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with adults with mental health needs (CMHT or related setting preferred).
  • Experience applying relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary settings.
  • Strong assessment, risk management, and care planning skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across agencies.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Understanding of recovery‑based practice.
  • Ability to uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Valid full UK driving licence and ability to travel efficiently for work purposes.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
