We are currently recruiting for a number of exciting Seafront roles. We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. All new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band, reflecting our commitment to equity across the organisation.
Role Purpose
You will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the entire seafront. This is a physical but rewarding role suited to candidates who can commit to early morning shifts. Applicants must be available to start in June and to work through to 7 September.
Main Responsibilities
- You will work as part of a team and independently as required, using your own initiative.
- You will work proactively with all members of the public and the wider team.
- With an eye for detail, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing a safe, clean and inclusive seafront is essential.
- Responsibilities include:
- Keeping beaches and surrounding areas tidy of litter, debris and foliage.
- Correctly disposing of contaminants and dangerous objects.
- Clearing access routes, paths, promenades, excess sand, and cleaning other amenities.
Shift patterns are varied by seasonal demand, covering up to 5 days in 7, including some Bank Holidays and weekends. Typical shifts are 7 am–3 pm (low season) or 6 am–2 pm (high season). The applicant will also be expected to work outdoors for most of each shift.
The Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about the local environment and community benefits.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and experienced in similar roles.
- Good communication skills and a disposition to promote high standards of customer care.
- Holds a fully valid UK driver’s licence would be advantageous but not essential.
