The predicted salary is between 33699 - 39152 £ per year.
The pay range for this role will be £33,699– £39,152 (pro rata for part time colleagues). We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Housing team in a busy housing office based in Poole. The team is responsible for delivering housing services across Poole. This role will be specifically responsible for the Poole High-Rise Tower Blocks.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Completing Tenancy Review visits for tenants of high-rise blocks and completing any follow up actions.
- Completing Person Centred Fire Risk assessments.
- Where required, completing Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plans.
- Check internal smoke detectors to ensure they are fully operational and report any defects promptly.
- Checking the safety of all balconies on an annual basis and additionally where required to ensure window locks are working correctly and advise tenants on balcony window safety.
- Identifying and reporting of repairs.
Essentials:
- Previous experience of working with the public face to face in difficult situations.
- Previous experience of managing social housing.
- Knowledge of measures to prevent and deal with tenancy breaches.
- Knowledge of the importance of safeguarding of vulnerable people.
- Ability to apply tact, diplomacy and awareness to a wide range of scenarios some of which may be potentially difficult.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Commitment to high levels of customer care.
Desirable:
- Previous local government experience.
- Chartered Institute of Housing Qualified.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
