Starting salary for this role is £44,075 (pro rata for part‑time colleagues).

Working in the Strategic Housing Options Team at BCP is incredibly fulfilling. As a Housing Options Team Manager, you will be part of a large team of dedicated Senior Officers who are committed to helping staff achieve their full potential. This role is not only about supporting colleagues but also about making a real difference in the lives of customers, helping them maintain their homes and improve their situations. Contract: 12‑month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of housing practitioners delivering housing advice and homelessness support.
  • Help to motivate and guide teams to deliver person‑centred support for customers that are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
  • Assist in the delivery of and development of homelessness services within BCP.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, face‑to‑face and over the phone, to maximise engagement and positive housing and support outcomes.
  • Work with a varied workload and juggle ever‑changing priorities.
  • Represent Housing Services at case conferences and multi‑agency meetings.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies to ensure holistic support for customers to access and maintain accommodation.
  • Understand the Homelessness Reduction Act and guide teams to proactively work to prevent homelessness.
