We are looking for experienced and passionate social workers to support children in need, manage child protection plans and care, and undertake court work in the family court and court of protection. The role involves assessments, working with children with disabilities, understanding neurodivergence, and dealing with deprivation of liberty. The position is full‑time with part of the week required to be office‑based.

Responsibilities / Scope of Work

  • Conduct assessments and manage complex referrals
  • Lead and support child protection and care plans
  • Represent the council in family and court of protection cases
  • Collaborate with health, SEND and other agencies
  • Mentor less experienced staff or students
  • Maintain accurate case records and report regularly
  • Travel across the BCP area as required
