We are recruiting Seafront Cleansing Assistant (Beach Cleaner) at BCP. This entry-level role is part of a refreshed pay band with a fixed starting salary and opportunities for growth within a forward-thinking team.
Role Purpose
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the whole seafront, ensuring a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for the public.
Main Responsibilities
- Work independently and as part of a team using personal initiative.
- Proactively support the public and wider team.
- Keep beaches and surrounding areas free of litter, debris, and foliage; dispose contaminants correctly.
- Clear access routes, paths, promenades, excess sand, and clean other amenities.
- Ensure a safe, clean, inclusive seafront at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced in similar roles.
- Passionate about local environment and community benefits.
- Strong customer-care attitude and communication skills.
- Physically fit for outdoor work and able to work early-morning shifts.
- Available to start in July and work through to September.
Shift Patterns and Practicalities
- Shift windows: 12:00 – 20:00 and 06:00 – 14:00.
- Work up to 5 days a week, including bank holidays and weekends.
- Most of each shift will be outdoors.
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
