To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. Role Purpose
You will be required to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the entire seafront. This is a physical but rewarding role suited to candidates who can commit to early morning shifts. Applicants must be available to start their new role in March and be available to work through until September.
Main Responsibilities
- You will need to be able to work as part of a team and independently as required using your own initiative.
- You will work proactively with all members of the public and the wider team.
- With an eye for detail, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing a safe, clean and inclusive seafront is essential.
- Supporting this, the position will involve keeping the beaches and surrounding areas tidy of litter, debris and foliage, correct disposal of contaminants and dangerous objects, as well as clearing access routes, paths, promenades, excess sand and cleaning other amenities.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced people to join our Seafront Team. A disposition to promote high standards of customer care and communication skills is essential for this post. You will be an integral member of the Seafront Operations Team ensuring Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is a great place to live, work and visit.
Shift patterns are varied by seasonal demand, covering up to 5 days in 7 including some Bank Holidays and weekends. Typical shifts are: 7am-3pm (low season) or 6am-2pm (high season). The applicant will also be expected to work outdoors for most of each shift in order to carry out their duties. Holding a fully valid, UK driver’s licence would be advantageous for this role but is not essential.
