The predicted salary is between 31537 - 36363 ÂŁ per year.

The pay range for this role is £31,537 – £36,363 (pro‑rata for part‑time colleagues). All new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band as part of a refreshed framework of pay, terms and conditions, reflecting our commitment to equity across the organisation.

BEC Council’s Tenancy Services Team is looking to recruit a full‑time Hostel Co‑ordinator. The successful applicant will be based at a shared accommodation site for either singles or families who are experiencing homelessness and may be required to assist across other hostels or sites from time to time.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the Council’s temporary accommodation portfolio, including Joint Living properties, self‑contained accommodation, family and singles shared accommodation schemes.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day housing management and coordinate services attending the scheme, such as cleaning, maintenance contractors and wider support services.
  • Assist in supporting wider team activities, including administrative tasks.
  • Provide a proactive and efficient service in a challenging and fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviour and client groups who have experienced homelessness is beneficial.
  • Strong relational skills to liaise with and develop positive working relationships across Council teams and external agencies.
  • Essential requirement: Ability to speak fluent English. The role is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
  • Applicants must be able to complete the appropriate level of Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
