Part‑time Deputyship Officer – Managing Other People’s Money Team. 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role involves managing a caseload of DWP Appointeeship and Court of Protection cases, administering day‑to‑day finances for approximately fifty clients, ensuring correct welfare benefits, safeguarding savings, developing spending plans, keeping accurate records, and visiting clients in their own homes. The position is located within the Managing Other People’s Money Team at BCP Council. Starting salary: £34,434 pro rata.
Responsibilities
- Administer the day‑to‑day finances of about fifty DWP Appointeeship and Court of Protection clients.
- Ensure clients receive the correct welfare benefits and that savings are safeguarded.
- Use client information to create affordable spending plans that promote independence.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records to a high standard.
- Visit clients in their own homes, holding a valid driving licence and having access to a car.
- Collaborate with Adult Social Care and BCP Council colleagues to deliver service quality.
- Perform other duties as required within the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
