Salary £32,061 Starting salary for this role is £32,061 (pro rata for part‑time colleagues). This role sits within a well defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career at BCP. Key Responsibilities

  • Support processes that deliver against statutory timeframes as governed by the SEND Code of Practice and other legislative frameworks.
  • Assist families in understanding processes regarding Annual Reviews and other processes affecting children and young people with an EHCP.
  • Gather information to support decisions about maintaining EHCPs.
  • Manage and update files on the Caseload Management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard procedures.
  • Promote and enable the inclusion of children and young people with SEND in collaboration with colleagues, partners, and parent/carers.
  • Prepare briefs for advisory panels, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
  • Build knowledge of local providers to meet the educational, social, and health needs of children and young people.
  • Engage with a range of professionals, including educational psychologists, social workers, health service staff, and training providers.
  • Provide efficient administrative support, including processing correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
  • Liaise with SEND teams of other Local Authorities and the Admissions team to manage EHCPs for children moving in or out of the local authority.
  • Ensure services are planned and delivered in line with local and national priorities.
  • Deliver continuous service improvement with a focus on improved outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
