Focus of the role
The HR Advisor will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, covering a broad range of activity from administration and employee relations through to policy development. The role also includes supporting communications, engagement, reporting, and contributing to Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives amongst other tasks. You will help ensure HR processes run smoothly while delivering a high standard of support to both employees and managers, including confidently coaching and guiding line managers on people matters to build their capability and confidence. While you will be supported by the wider People team, the role requires the ability to work independently and a good understanding of basic employment law. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about HR, ideally with experience in a generalist capacity, and confidence in handling employee relations matters. You will ideally hold a minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification. We can support further study and development where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees, providing day‑to‑day HR advice and guidance
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and flexible working requests
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes and offboarding processes
- Assist with HR reporting and people data, supporting insights and decision-making
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Support managers with absence management and general people
- Deliver and support training and Learning & Development initiatives where required
- Employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Contribute to wider HR projects
