Reports to: Head of Data, AI and Software

Location: Manchester or Leeds (hybrid working available)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Focus of the role:

This is an exciting and challenging role for a candidate with a proven track record of managing the delivery of technology projects across multiple disciplines and teams. Our project managers are responsible for successfully delivering a portfolio of projects of varying complexity, ensuring that outcomes are clearly defined, our teams have what they need to be successful and that our clients are delighted by their experience with BCN. This role is focused on our data, AI and software vertical, but successful candidates will get the opportunity to work across our full-service offering. The role is suited to a confident communicator, capable of juggling multiple competing objectives, with an ability to manage others alongside their own workload. You will be supported by Account Managers, Pre-sales and Solutions Designers to ensure customer expectations are always exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective delivery of a portfolio of small projects
  • Time, budget and commercial management
  • Building relationships with key client and internal stakeholders
  • Leadership of project teams
  • Proactive organisation of project resource needs and scheduling.

Person, Skills & Experience:

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to run projects independently through to completion
  • Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Risk management experience with clear communication both internally and externally
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with effective prioritisation and context switching
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and help create structure and manage expectations effectively
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing project budgets

Nice-to-haves

  • Infrastructure project delivery experience (e.g. Windows migration)
  • Experience in MSP, consultancy, or product environments
