We are looking for a Junior Power BI developer who is passionate about analytics and wants to deliver real improvements to our clients in smart and effective ways. Using your knowledge of Microsoft’s Power BI, you will assist more experienced Power BI developers or data analysts in creating reports and dashboards, handling data-related tasks, and supporting data visualisation efforts for our clients.
The role requires a wide knowledge of business intelligence, data integration, data warehousing, modelling, database, and technical aspects of BI tools. You will support senior developers and Team Leads in delivering high-quality reports and dashboards while also developing your own capability and confidence in taking ownership of tasks assigned by Project Leads.
The role has a strong focus on working with data, including data cleaning, transformation, and modelling, alongside supporting client-facing data visualisation within project work. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency while supporting the troubleshooting and resolution of issues within datasets and reporting outputs.
- Experience creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports, with a focus on clear, user-friendly visualisation.
- Strong understanding of data modelling fundamentals, including relationships, granularity, and star schema design.
- Ability to prepare, clean, and transform data using Power Query, with awareness of ETL processes.
- Familiarity with core data sources (Excel, SQL, APIs) and basic SQL querying.
- Understanding of data security and governance principles, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
