What you’ll do:
- Support the Senior Asset Manager to ensure the effective operation of the team with the aim of ensuring the assets and loans are managed in line with the agreed strategic aim.
- Develop client strategies to maximise recoveries on the assigned portfolio.
- Ensure that all legislative, credit policies and best practice guidelines are incorporated into day-to-day operations on cases.
- Position BCM as a client focused organisation and consistently demonstrate a customer focused mindset.
- Ensure fair and transparent treatment of customers in all activities.
- Responsibility for approximately c.100 borrower connections requiring effective and efficient management.
- Conduct due diligence on the portfolio/Connections and assist in formulating the optimal strategy for maximising loan recovery.
- Proactive management of underlying assets securing loans, including implementation of strategies for debt recovery.
- Draft succinct credit applications for discussion and review.
- Assist Senior Asset Manager in the organisation of borrower meetings and act as point of contact for borrower, their advisors and our client.
- Ensure all MI systems are kept up to date and accurate at all times.
- Ensure speedy responses to general queries raised.
- Ability to identify and deal with property related issues as they arise.
- Implement all Link Compliance procedures across the assigned connections.
- Manage borrower/professional meetings and act as point of contact for any escalation of issues from clients, financial advisors, and other advisors.
What You’ll Bring (Knowledge & Experience):
- APA or QFA qualification.
- Experience in banking/financial services industry with in-depth knowledge of SME/CPC/CCMA codes.
- Experience in reviewing loan and security documentation.
- Strong financial analysis skills with ability to review; understand and interpret audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts.
- Effective communicator, influencer, and negotiator.
- Demonstrate an organised approach to work, and an ability to prioritise.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages.
- Experience in managing cases through the insolvency process.
- Ability to optimise strategies with reference to underlying values and property market trends.
- Experience in credit analysis and associated loan documentation.
- Experience of working in a client facing role and of negotiating with borrowers and their advisors.
