LC Financial Holdings is an international, multi-skilled financial services business incorporating 5 distinct business verticals. These comprise two credit management businesses, a fund management operation, a software development company and a specialist legal group. We are a leading SME and leasing credit servicer, operating out of 10 European countries, and employing more than 1,750 people.
Working in ICT and reporting to the Head of Shared Services, this role is designed for a hands-on, results-driven assertive Technical Delivery Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, cutting through ambiguity, and excels at driving accountability. You will tactically manage and own multiple ICT projects (e.g., data centre exits, legacy system decommissioning) from initiation to closure, ensuring technical teams deliver functional requirements on time, every time. Your focus will be execution: eliminating bottlenecks, maintaining rigorous RAID logs, and delivering clear, single-page status dashboards to stakeholders. This role demands a no-nonsense operator who eliminates excuses, escalates blockers ruthlessly, and enforces accountability through clear boundaries. This is not a strategic or portfolio role – you will own delivery, challenge excuses, and ensure technical teams understand tasks and consequences.
What you’ll do
- Execute & Track: Own end-to-end delivery of concurrent technical projects, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, assigned, and updated in real time.Replace “talking shops” with output-focused workshops. Define deliverables, assign owners, and track commitments daily.
- RAID Management: Maintain a dynamic RAID log with ownership, mitigation plans, and deadlines, escalating blockers proactively.
- Challenge: Hold technical teams accountable through daily stand-ups, task reminders, and direct follow-ups, Challenging vague answers or delays with solution-focused questions.
- Simplify Governance: Apply pragmatic change controls (e.g., 1-page impact assessments, not 20-page docs). Prioritise speed over bureaucracy. Produce concise, visual project dashboards (1 page max) highlighting progress, risks, and next steps, replacing spreadsheets with actionable insights.
- Problem-Solve: Cut through noise.Identify root causes of delays (e.g., skill gaps, unclear requirements) and propose fixes, such as training or process adjustments. For every risk or issue, provide solution options
- Communicate: Escalate missed deadlines immediately.Deliver clear updates to senior stakeholders, avoiding jargon, flagging risks early and insisting on decisions to keep projects moving.
What you’ll bring
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in hands-on technical project delivery, specifically infrastructure (networks, data centres, cloud migrations, etc.).
- Technical delivery in a large fast-paced multi-entity or financial services environment.
- Proven track record of delivering complex ICT projects on time, with examples of overcoming resistance or excuses, and holding teams accountable.
- Expertise in project management techniques such as APM/Prince2.
- Technical fluency to interrogate engineers and challenge estimated timeframes (e.g., “Explain why this server migration is delayed – is it a licensing issue or a configuration problem?”).
- Results-Oriented Delivery: Demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving project objectives, driving tasks to completion, and ensuring clear accountability for actions and outcomes. Prioritise delivery over consensus.
- Analytical Problem Solver: Applies structured critical thinking to identify underlying issues, challenges assumptions, and consistently develops practical, solution-focused recommendations.
- Effective and Adaptable Communicator: Maintains professional persistence in following up on actions, tailoring communication style appropriately for both technical audiences and senior stakeholders.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Exhibits a high level of accuracy in reviewing project plans and deliverables, proactively identifying, and addressing discrepancies or risks.
- Pragmatic Enforcer: Implements minimum viable process.
- GRC-Awareness: Understands governance, risk, and compliance basics without over-engineering (e.g. ISO 27001 controls for data centre exits).
Education/Certifications
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, APM PFQ, or equivalent.
- Technical certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Cisco) are a strong plus.
